Exhibition
Horizons
June 3 (Tue) ? June 29, 2008 (Sun)
The feature of this month is works by Saiko Kaito who works in France and paints wide spreading horizon, and works by Yuka Nakamura who draws gently undulating horizon.
You may have experienced seeing a wide horizon spreading in front of you. Unlike a horizon seen from high mountains or viewed floor of skyscrapers, horizon seen at a desert or a prairie is directly connected to the same level of ground where you stand on, and spreading to somewhere far and wide. There are connected to places where you do not know, far away somewhere foreign, and there is a road leading to that place. Although horizon is extremely large compared to our small single body, the horizon directly connected to us stimulates our dreams and imagination. You are to see wide range of different horizon in our exhibition. Each horizon may show you different scenery over the horizons.
