Art Front Gallery will hold the series of exhibitions entitled "Garden: Inside and Outside". Comparing the galley of closed spaces as a garden, we would try to show the works by young artists adventurously.
After the first series of the “Inside the Garden” exhibition showing Iku Harada and Miyuki Takenaka, the second of the series of exhibitions is themed Outside, with 3 artists based on a plane; Makoto Abe, Yuuri Kabata, and Megumi Sato. Though Kabata creates her works systematically with certain regulation and usually draws on canvas, this time, she stretches the basin and tries to display works through water. Abe has created woodprints with her constant motif, school, but this time, she also tries to shift from print works which has many restrictions. Sato carves the surface of layered colours like a sculpture, and creates the work with various colours on its section. They all obey certain rule in exploring their production on the field of plane, but at the same time, pursue the possibility of expression and attempt to exceed a limit. If human being was doomed to go outside of the Eden, or the paradise, we believe that the expression of artist should play the role of trickster who exceeds the range of creation freely going in and outside of the garden.

One of Abe's work in the exhibition is an instalation, although it still is a wood-block print. We are able to go around the work.
Works on the wall seen through Abe's work are works by Megumi Sato.
