Following the re-opening of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, ”Plum and Maple Trees” by Takako Azami can be appreciated from June 4-14 on reservation.

This artwork was exhibited in “Present-Day Paintings: Two-Dimensional Works of Four Artists” at Kawagoe City Art Museum in 2015, and was acquired by MOMAT as permanent collection. Please refer to the comments on this painting by Ms. Chieko Tsuzuki, curator at the museum as article in no. 635 “Gendai no Me” (Contemporary Eye) or quarterly issued by MOMAT.
