Kaoru Oda1979-

Oda was born in 1979 and studied metal hammering at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her motifs are mainly architectral, from houses, warehouse to shrine which are humorous in shape. She once stated that seeing empty home after moving or the room where her grandmother died allowed her to question the life and death, which is reflected in her works. Her installation in Hiratsuka Museum and in our gallery were composed of her works and went beyond the mere accumulation of crafts to create the bolder space with shadow effect.
