Fumie Hiratai : New Paintings

Hiratai's work shows a good balance of flatness and three dimesionality and transparency due to her simple composition of wind, flowers clouds we see in daily lives and the color field on the background. We may able to feel her painted objects or colors are like breathing the surrounding environment around the picture plane and melting into the environment. The light in the picture which we may feel like spreading out to the environment can also be considered as the characteristic of her work.
