Junji Sakai solo exhibition

"BIENA ART SPACE" will hold a solo exhibition of a contemporary artist Junji Sakai. This space was opened in April as a new trial for creating an attractive communication space in the housing exhibition hall.

As you can see the moon from where ever you are on earth, Junji Sakai takes it as a symbol of universality. The artist tries to reach for this universality within his art work, as an acutal object. He gives the work with simple and strong form and structre with many layers of color melted together on one surface. This fine perfect color balance gives changes and movement to the picture. He uses this manner not only on pictures but also on three dimension work, or on relife style, lithograph, crayon on paper and so on. This exhibition will show some of his new series of "Moon Illusion" in lithograph, drawing and paintings.
