Nozomi Tanaka1989-

Tanaka's works are narrative and symbolical. She lives in Yamagata and frequently does the field works hearing from the locals, knowing about the rituals which inspires much her works and also allows her to delve into the social problems in Tohoku area. She depicts many rabbits in various situation with gesture accordingly who narrates vividly the traditional rituals still alive. On occasion of her exhibit in Yokohama Museum in 2015, the artist chose the theme of shipping from Tohoku to Yokohama to overlap her work so far with newly given venue.

1989 Born in Miyagi, Lives and work in Yamagata
2012 graduated from BA in Fine Arts: Oil Painting Department, Tohoku University of Art & Design
2014 graduated from MFA in Fine Arts: Oil Painting Department, Tohoku University of Art & Design
2017 Ph.D of Art and Design Doctor, Tohoku University of Art And Design
