Using sumi ink and its specific character, Takako Azami certainly inherits the Japanese painting stream in contemporary manner. She draws trees and plants in her everyday life by observing carefully its changing impressions. Suo (sappan wood) drawn in her latest work, is one of the trees also can be seen from her studio. In her latest work, with the accent of green among the energetic branches and leaves, we see a rich tranquility.
