Naoto Sunohara is participating in the group exhibition "VOCA 2021" at The Ueno Royal Museum.

Usually the artist is selected through nomination by a single curator, whereas Sunohara has been nominated by both Mayumi Kiuchi at Nagano Prefectural Shinano Art Museum and Aya Takada at Birdoflugas. We appreciate your kind visit to the exhibit to support the activity of Sunohara, a young promised talent.

Works of Sunohara are also on view at Art Fair Tokyo from March 19-21 at booth G098. Please take a look on this show as well.

The exhibit VOCA has been organized since 1994 every year in the field of two-dimensional artwork in contemporary art, in order to support the young talent in international perspective. The selection is executed through nomination by museum curators, researchers, art journalists: they nominate one artist (or one unit of artists) and all the nominated artists will be exhibited in the exhibition, thus introducing and revealing unknown talent throughout Japan.
