Hisaharu Motoda1973-
Motoda depicts the buildings or landscape in their abandoned and ruined appearance through the technique of lithograph. Familiar landmarks of National Assembly or Ginza street in Tokyo, Bird's Nest or Olympic Stadium in Beijing, Opera house in Sydney or Marina Bay Sands in Singapore are presented to have been left decayed to become a part of grand nature with minute lines and shading. While keeping his view as an outsider he felt when he first moved to Tokyo from Kumamoto, the artist tries to depict the sign of rebirth of those cities with his original aesthetics.
