Iku Harada
Stouchi Triennale 2025
≪Little Shops on the Island≫ Café "Something Sings"
Area:Megijima (Central part)
Period:Spring, Summer, Autumn
Harada was born in the 1980s, during the rise of personal computers in the home. In Harada’s childhood, the introduction of Windows 95 marked the beginning of widespread PC adoption in households, and by the 2000s—when she was studying at university— Windows 2000 and Apple’s iMac had become closely integrated into daily life. Her work reflects this evolution, navigating between virtual and physical realities.
Harada constructs fictional worlds within the computer, and the landscapes she "experiences" inside these imagined environments are expressed primarily through painting. In recent years, she has expanded her practice to include more spatial and three-dimensional expressions, producing sculptural works as well. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in international art fairs.

Teppei Kaneuji was born in Kyoto in 1978. In 2001, while studying at Kyoto City University of Arts, he participated in an exchange program at the Royal College of Art in London. He completed his graduate studies in sculpture at Kyoto City University of Arts in 2003.

The "Games, Dance & the Constructions" series, which has been presented using various materials and techniques, focuses not on the direct meaning of the depicted motifs, but on the process of constructing shapes. The aim is to bring together disparate objects into a unified form, and to merge items of different scales into a single whole.
By giving materiality to the "images of manga = shapeless things," the artist creates works starting from that point. As a result, a variety of materials such as cushions, acrylic sheets, plywood, and prints are used in the creation of the pieces.
Aki Yamamoto
Setouchi Triennale 2025
≪Seijima project "SAY YES"≫ See the Sea, See the Mountain
Area:Former Sei Junior High School
Period:Spring
Aki Yamamoto was born in 1969. Based on the landscapes she has observed, she constructs her works using color fields to represent shapes, shadows, and other elements. In the early years of her career, her paintings were characterized by expressive brushstrokes reminiscent of Abstract Expressionism. However, around 2005, around receiving a government fellowship for study abroad, a turning point in her style occurred. She began focusing on urban and geometric elements, such as windows and architectural structures, which she would abstract and reorganize in her mind to form new compositions.
In recent years, Yamamoto has expanded her approach to include attempts to create multiple viewpoints simultaneously within a single frame, reminiscent of viewing a film’s panoramic scene. she is also known for her diverse color schemes, and in the past few years, she has been actively creating site-specific works, such as the "Kiso Paintings," in local regions.
